Samantha Mwesigye

Mwesigye Samantha is an Advocate from Uganda, currently she is the Secretary/Chief Legal Officer at the Uganda Technology and Management University.
Samantha was a Senior State Attorney with the Ministry of Justice & Constitutional Affairs. She worked with the Ministry for 12 years until August 2019 when she was fired from the Ministry for lodging a sexual harassment complaint against the Deputy Solicitor General(Recently appointed a Justice of the Court of Appeal, Uganda), Gashirabake Christopher.
She is currently doing advocacy work to get women to know their rights in the workplace and stand up against sexual harassment. She has a keen interest in ensuring that this vice ends not only in the workplace but also at universities where it has been known to be endemic.
