WE MOVE

FROM THE INDIVIDUAL TO THE COLLECTIVE

Upon graduating from WE lead with all the tools in hand to be inclusive, collaborative leaders, fellows transition into WE move, the movement-building arm of WE Africa. WE move represents a shift from the individual to the collective, with the ultimate goal of generating the impact needed at scale to affect transformation in the environmental space.

In WE move, our fellows occupy their seats at tables where crucial decisions are made. Through their leadership and collective influence, they inspire and open doors of opportunity for others while influencing policy.

WE Move places great emphasis on the principle of “paying it forward,” where alumni are encouraged to share their knowledge, experiences, and resources with others. This act of sharing aims to inspire and empower fellow members of the community and beyond.

Women need to bring their emotions, compassion, empathy and their legacy mindset to the environmental space.

AMPLIFYING IMPACT

WE move is an extension of the safe space created in WE lead and an embodiment of the core values held by WE Africa. It is a platform for fellows to integrate all that they have learned during the WE lead program into their lives. WE move also enables fellows to foster and nurture connections with one another, strengthening their collective impact.

SUSTAINING ENGAGEMENT

As part of their engagement with WE move, fellows are provided with an alumni package. This package is designed to foster a sense of community, encourage continued learning, facilitate collaboration, and enable fellows to make a lasting impact. It includes various resources, benefits, and opportunities tailored to the needs of the alumni, further supporting their journey of personal and professional growth within the environmental movement.
