Rosette is the founder and Managing Director of Songa Africa, a Rwanda-based Tourism and Business Conservation Consultancy and Luxury Tour Company that operates throughout East Africa. She is a member of WE Africa’s Leadership Council, a position she has held since the organization’s inception in 2020. 

Between 2003 and 2010, she was the Director General of Rwanda Tourism, where she oversaw the revitalization of the Rwandan tourism industry. She has also served as the Deputy CEO of the Rwanda Development Board, as a special advisor to the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization on sustainable tourism in Africa, and as a member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s Global Ethics committee overseeing the development and management of the country’s world-renowned protected areas, which serve as powerful engines of local and national economic development.

Ms Rugamba has also served on the boards of African Parks and Trademark East Africa, and she is a member of the Rwanda Private Sector Federation, where she was President of Tourism in the Women’s Chamber.
