Rokiatou Traoré is a dedicated green entrepreneur committed to realizing the Sustainable Development Goals, with a specific focus on Mali. Her passion is evident in her active involvement in addressing critical development issues such as poverty, climate change, desertification, soil erosion, malnutrition, and food insecurity, with a particular emphasis on women and youth.
As the co-founder of Herou Alliance, alongside her late husband, Rokiatou is spearheading an inclusive value chain centered around agroforestry products, notably Moringa. Her goal is to establish a network of millions of women Moringa producers by 2030, accompanied by the ambitious targets of planting 10 million Moringa trees and exporting Moringa-based products globally. Her initiative has already achieved significant milestones, including training nearly a hundred women Moringa producers, cultivating over 20,000 Moringa trees in the Koulikoro region, and exporting a diverse range of organic Moringa products to more than seven countries.
She firmly believes that “Nothing is impossible to achieve with an unwavering will.”
