Prof Patience Gandiwa

Trained as an ecologist, Professor Patience Gandiwa has published more than 56 peer-reviewed scientific papers in the field of conservation.
She is a Director responsible for International Conservation Affairs (TFCAs and Conventions) at Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, an organisation that she joined 14 years ago.
Patience’s career goal is to contribute her skills and expertise to the national, regional and global efforts for biodiversity conservation for the benefit of humanity. She has passion for science-driven, transboundary conservation initiatives and contributing to the effective implementation of multilateral environmental agreements/protocols.
Patience believes empowering more women and youth in conservation of flora and fauna is a game changer for the 21 st century.
