Ojochenemi Ruth Akagu

Ojochenemi Ruth Akagu is a Conservation Biologist with over 13 years of experience in biodiversity conservation and sustainable livelihood development. She works with community members, government institutions and private sectors to plan and implement projects focused on conserving and protecting habitats and improving the status of high biodiversity areas. Her passion is geared toward working with women and youth on sustainable utilization of forest resources for livelihood improvement. Ruth holds a M.Sc. in Conservation Biology and is currently working with BirdLife International, Africa Division, the Regional Implementation Team for the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund as the Small Grants Manager.
