Growing up in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, one of the world’s most iconic ecosystems, shaped Luwi’s enduring commitment to both storytelling and conservation. Over the past decade, she has built a career at the intersection of research, design, and implementation of social marketing programs, developing behaviour change initiatives that resonate deeply with communities and deliver measurable impact.
Today, she supports mission-driven organisations in strengthening their communication strategies. She partners with teams to craft compelling narratives, design high-impact campaigns, and implement communication systems that elevate their work and expand their reach.
Her portfolio includes leading transformative behaviour change initiatives such as This Is Not Game, a campaign addressing the illegal bushmeat trade; the pioneering Women for Conservation network; and the award-winning radio drama Mtima Wa Mkango. Each initiative combined strategic insight with culturally grounded storytelling to inspire meaningful action.
She has also contributed to sector-wide engagement efforts, including the Zambian Conservation Careers Fair, championing diversity, inclusion, and the power of African-led storytelling.
Through her work, she amplifies authentic African voices and partners with organisations of all sizes to unlock the full potential of strategic, inspiring communication.
