Glanis Changachirere is a feminist who is passionate about human rights, development, and democracy with working experience on gender, human rights, democracy and governance. She established the Institute for Young Women Development, which supports sustainable livelihoods and increased involvement of young women in problems of political and socio economic justice.She is a former student leader who, by promoting conversation between young women and leaders in Zimbabwe’s Mashonaland Central, has gallantly destroyed boundaries between tradition and modern democratic cultures.

For her groundbreaking work on young women’s engagement, she received a 30 Under 30 Democracy Award from the National Endowment for Democracy.Additionally, she was listed as one of UN Women Africa’s top 10 African women leaders.
