Dr. Najma Mohamed
Dr. Najma Mohamed has a background in climate, environment and sustainable development and has been involved in designing, implementing and profiling transformative and inclusive approaches to policy and practice. She has worked in research, civil society and the public sector, at multi-levels and across geographies and economic sectors.
Najma leads on developing the Green Economy Coalition’s (GEC) policy work, which is centred on building policies, practices and institutions for inclusive green economies. The GEC is the world’s largest movement for green and fair economies, with over 60 members. Najma works across the major policy themes of a green economy transition to advance new, transformative policies as pathways to systemic change.
She loves spending time in nature, reading and travelling and is passionate about linking the climate, environment and social justice agendas.
