Dr. Musimbi Kanyoro

Dr. Musimbi Kanyoro is an internationally recognized leader in Women’s Movements, International NGOs, Global Multilateral Organizations, and Ecumenical Agencies. She is the immediate past President and CEO of the Global Fund for Women and has served as an advisor on Gender issues with the World Bank and UN Women.
Kanyoro is an author, editor, and speaker, and holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Texas in Austin, a DMin from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and was visiting Scholar at Harvard Divinity School.
Kanyoro’s other International Board memberships include Women’s Learning Partnerships, United World Colleges, Council of London School of Economics, Care International, UN Global Compact, and Homeward Bound.
