Dr. Gladys Kalema Zikusoka

Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka is a Ugandan veterinarian and founder of Conservation Through Public Health, an organisation dedicated to the coexistence of endangered mountain gorillas, other wildlife, humans, and livestock in Africa.

Gladys was Uganda’s first wildlife veterinary officer and has won multiple awards including Whitely Gold Award, San Diego Zoo Conservation-in-Action, Sierra Club Earthcare Award, and Wings Worldquest. She was profiled in the BBC documentary, Gladys the African Vet.
