Dr. Anne Mburu

Dr. Anne Mburu de Wagt is a Nutrition Scientist Consultant, advisor and certified coach. She has a Doctorate in Human Nutrition, specializing in micronutrients and infectious disease, from the University of Ulster at Coleraine in Northern Ireland. She’s a 2011 Alumnus of the African Nutrition Leadership Programme (ANLP), run through the North West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa.

Her career spans experience as an international Consultant working with various UN bodies such as WFP, UNICEF and WHO. She also has extensive experience in academia and research, working in various countries like Northern Ireland, The Gambia, South Africa, Kenya, the Netherlands and Namibia.

Presently Dr. Anne resides in New Delhi, India and serves on the UN Women’s Association in Delhi (UNWA Delhi) Executive committee as Chairperson for the 2021-2022 session. She also serves as Board chair for She Chooses to Live Initiative, a Kenyan NGO working to raise awareness about maternal, Adolescent and Child Nutrition and Health, as well as Female Reproductive Health, specifically cervical and breast cancer.

Dr. Anne is a qualified coach in both transactional and transformational coaching services and provides general coaching services as well as health and wellness coaching. Her passion and background in nutrition led her to venture into creative writing, and she maintains a nutrition page on Facebook called Nutrition Safari.
