The Gathering will be an intentional space for the 100 women of WE Africa to pause, reflect, and realign with the leadership they committed to during their one-year WE lead experience. They will all meet for the first time, and they will be joined by our broader WE community of support.
The power and shared purpose in this space will be rooted in nature, courage, and care. It is a moment to ask: 'Am I living the leadership I promised - for the planet, for others, and myself?' This is not a movement, manifesto, or collective action - it is a personal reflection within a shared space, where each woman holds the potential to rise and seed lasting change in her own way and ultimately to change the way environmental leadership is done on the continent and across the globe. This is WE Africa's purpose "to put women at the heart of transforming the environmental movement in Africa" by leading more inclusively and collectively.
