Sophie Nyirabakwiye, has more than 13 years of work experience in National and International Development through United Nations Programmes. She worked in Niger, Madagascar, Rwanda, South Africa and Senegal in different responsibilities ranging from technical specialist to team leader on various areas mainly biodiversity conservation, ecosystem rehabilitation, combatting illegal wild life trade, land degradation, climate change, green and blue economy, water resources resilience, poverty reduction through youth employment, access to finance, aid effectiveness, sustainable livelihoods, and other aspects of economic development. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Management from University of Cape Town.
